The Relation between Five Factor Model (FFM) and Narcissism among Students of QOU.

This study aims at identifying the relationship between narcissism and the
Big Five personality traits.In addition, the study aimed at specifying the Big
Five personality traits’ participation in narcissism prediction.Participants
were 179 students at Al Quds Open University.The researchers used the (Ne.-
FFI- S) Personality Inventory and Narcissism scale.
Findings revealed that extroversion, agreeableness, and consciousness
were negatively related to narcissism while neuroticism was positively related
to narcissism.No significant relationship was noticed between openness to
experience and narcissism.
Furthermore, findings showed also that the Big Five personality traits
explained about 26.1% of the variance in narcissism scores.Among the Big
Five traits, agreeableness and extraversion have just explained this variance.
