Measurement of the Level of Algerian Banks Commitment with Corporate Governance Principles -An Empirical Study –

The objective of the study is to focus on the implementation of the corporate
governance principles at Algerian banks. The tools to collect data for the study is through using a designed questionnaire which resulted from the analysis of theories and previous related studies. The Questionnaire was distributed among a random sample that consists of 30 employees working at banks as accountants, auditors and heads of departments.
The analysis of the study uses SPSS version 19.0 to process the data and to test the hypotheses.
The result of study concludes that Algerian banks implement partially the
corporate governance principles at its initial stage. Thus, this requires forming an efficient strategy in order to promote the application of the corporate governance principles at Algerian banks.
