Kaizen Approach for Continuous Improvement and Its Relation to the Organizational Change in the Electricity Distribution Corporation in the Gaza Stip

The study aims at explaining the relationship between the Kaizen approach for the continuous improvement and the organizational change in the Electricity Distribution Company in five governorates in Gaza. The study was applied on a simple random sample that consisted of 233 employees that represented only 58% of the total study population. The study followed a descriptive analytical approach، and used a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The study concluded many results، mainly that the Electricity Distribution Corporation practices the dimensions of Kaizen approach for the purpose of improvement by 63.06%، which is a moderate degree. Moreover، the Corporation practices organizational change by 61.40%، which is also a moderate degree. There is a high positive correlation with the value of 0.863 between practicing Kaizen's approach for continuous improvement and organizational change in the company. The study also found that there were no statistical differences in the responses of the participants at the value (α≤0.05) in terms of the relation between Kaizen approach for the continuous improvement and organizational change in the Corporation in the Gaza governorates due to the variables (age، gender، qualification، and years of experience). The study concluded a number of recommendations، the most important of which were، the need for simplifying the procedures that help provide services to the beneficiaries in a timely manner، the need for engaging the employees in various performance improvement processes through their participation in decision-making. The Study also recommended the need for turning the scientific research into the basis of initiating any activity in the company، either through the establishment of an administrative unit within the company or through the use of external specialists، especially in the various optimization procedures.
