The Role of the Dimensions of the Learning Organization in Improving the Quality of the Health Services: A Field Study on Aleppo University Hospitals

This research aims at studying the dimensions of the learning organization (systems thinking، personal mastery، mental model، shared vision، team learning) and their role in improving the quality of the health services. The study was applied on a sample that consisted of 110 employees who work at Aleppo University hospitals. The sample consisted of two occupational categories: 65 doctors and 45 administrators. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: there was a statistically significant direct impact for the learning organization dimensions (system thinking، personal mastery، mental model، shared vision، team learning) on improving the quality of the health services at Aleppo University hospitals، there were statistically significant differences in the perceptions of the employees (doctors، administrators) at Aleppo University hospitals towards the learning organization’s dimensions due to age، scientific qualification، and years of experience. The study also found that there were statistically significant differences in the perceptions of the employees (doctors، administrators) towards the dimensions of the quality of the health services at Aleppo University hospitals due to gender and qualifications.
