In the light of researchers different opinions,
Sharia scholars and economists, concerning the
legality of Islamic souverign sokuk those who
approves this trend and those who opposes this
trend. This study is meant to look in the reality of the
Islamic souverign sokuk by analyzing and describing
this trend with respect to Sharia principles and
indicate any violations arise. All of that was done
to enable us to rule on it either approval or denial.
The study found out that Islamic souverign sokuk
within current structural application in the financial
markets which are called rent sokuk ending with
ownership do not comply with the Sharia principles
and the contract that govern these sokuk.
