The Security and Confidentiality of Information and its Impact on The Banking Performance «A field Study on Operating Banks in Jordan”

This study aimed to identify the security and
confidentiality of information and its impact on
the banking performance in the operating banks in
Jordan, and the study population may be consisted
of operating banks in Jordan, a stratified random
sample disproportionate 50% of the study population
was chosen.
The results of the study showed that the practice
of the security and confidentiality of the information
in the operating banks in Jordan in terms of
relative importance was of high level, reaching the
arithmetic average (4.11) , also showed that the
relative importance of the banking performance in
the operating banks in Jordan was high, as was the
arithmetic average (4.07) .
The results of the study also indicated that
there is statistically significant impact to the
security and confidentiality of the information
(physical protection, protection of personnel,
software protection) in the banking performance in
the operating banks in Jordan.
Finally, the study posed a set of
recommendations, including the need for the banks
management practices process necessary to spread
and deepen the security and confidentiality of
information culture in the various administrative
levels through training programs for all levels of
management preparation, and the need to increase
spending on security software and confidential
information and to seek international certificates of
conformity to regulations international information.
