Last years, poverty reduction has been the
biggest concern of all countries around the world, it
was considered as the biggest goal of development
policy, but what it is tangible with this global
phenomenon is the increasing of its degree day per
day. For this reason, poverty reduction had become
the major goal for all countries around the world
and for many international organizations.
This study investigates the causality
relationships between poverty, inequality and
economic growth in Arabic countries using panel
data series covering the period 1970- 2013. Within
a vector autoregressive model (VAR) , by applying
a modified version of the Granger causality test due
to Toda and Yamamoto (1995) . The results indicate
that there is no causalities between the variable
except one from poverty rate to economic growth.
