Multi- Intelligence among Ajloun University College Students and Its Relation to Academic Achievement

Abstract

 

The study aimed at recognizing Multi- intelligence levels for Ajloun

University College students according to the variables of sex, instructional

level (Bachelor and Intermediate Diploma) and its relation to achievement

measured by total average. The sample consists of (450) male and female

students. The researcher has developed an instrument to measure the level

of multi- intelligence and it consists of (54) items distributed on nine types of

multi- intelligence. The results revealed that the levels of multi- intelligence

for the students are between high and intermediate according to the following

order: personal intelligence, social intelligence, linguistic intelligence,

mathematical intelligence, physical intelligence, natural intelligence,

existential intelligence, spatial intelligence, physical and kinetic intelligence,

finally the musician IQ, and the macro level of owning multi- intelligence is

intermediate. Also, the results indicate that there are significant statistical

differences in the levels of multi- intelligence due to the variable of study

level (Bachelor and Intermediate Diploma) in favor of Bachelor, and there

are no significant statistical differences between two genders in the levels of

multi- intelligence. Finally, there is a correlation between the levels of multiintelligence

and achievement for the students in Ajloun University College
