This study aims to reveal the level of availability of the use of computer
skills in teaching mathematics among teachers at UNRWA basic elementary
schools in Gaza Strip. The researcher used a questionnaire which consists
of (38) items distributed into two domains: Basics in computer and Internet,
and computer applications in teaching Mathematics. The questionnaire
was distributed to a randomly selected sample of (208) teachers. The study
findings revealed moderate availability of teachers' use of computer skills in
teaching mathematics in general as well as a moderate level of availability
in the first domain skills. However, teachers' competencies level in the
second domain of the skills was low. The findings also showed statistically
significant differences between the level of teachers who were trained in
favor of teachers holding bachelor and master degrees in comparison to those
holding diplomas. The study also found statistically significant differences
attributed to the variable of attendance of training courses in favor of those
who attended training courses. In addition, there were statistically significant
differences between teachers of (1- 5) years of experience and those with
more than (10) years of experience in favor of the first group.
