Metacognition Thinking Level For Students in The Faculty of Education in Al-Baha University in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

This study aims to investigate metacognition thinking level for the students
in the Faculty of Education in Al - Baha University in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. It also investigates the level of difference between the metacognition
thinking level in the light of the variables of: academic year, and academic
achievement.
The sample of the study consisted of (100) students in the Faculty
of Education in Al - Baha University. In order to achieve the goal of the
study the researcher designed a metacognition thinking scale to measure
metacognition thinking level for the students, which consisted of (30) items.
The metacognition thinking scale was applied during the first semester of the
academic year 1434/ 1435.
The results of the study revealed that the students have a medium level
of metacognition thinking level at the total score level. It indicated that there
were no statistical significant differences in metacognition thinking level due
to the university year level or academic achievement.
