The Role of the Information Technology and Communication in the Spread of Self Learning Formats from the Perspective of the Faculty Staff working at faculties of Education in Sudan

The main objective of this study is to identify the opinion of the faculty
members in some faculties of education in Sudan towards the role of the
information technology and communication in the spread self learning.To
achieve this objective the researchers have designed a questionnaire which
focused on the opinion of the faculty members about the effectiveness of the
information technology and communication in self- learning programs.After
evaluative procedures were applied to the questionnaire, the researchers
distributed (143) applications of the questionnaire among faculty members.A
descriptive analysis methodology has been used and different statistic analysis
like 3- wayANOVA, Person correlation coefficient and Dennett’s C test to
analyse the data.The following results have been achieved: 1- The study
revealed the existence of positive opinions towards the role of the information
technology and communication in the spread of self learning among the faculty
members in faculties of education in the Sudan universities.This difference is
in favor among the faculty members in the University of Khartoum.2- The
research exposed the existence of significant statistical differences among the
opinion of the faculty members towards the role of the information technology
and communcation in the spread of self learning forms due to the various
universities.The most important recommendation is the need for a proper
understanding of instructional technology as the foundation upon which the
recruitment process of the information and communication technology in the
self learning.
