Obstacles Facing Faculty Members concerning Applied Research at the University College of Applied Sciences and their proposed solutions

This study aims to investigate the obstacles faced academic faculty
members in the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza, and preventing
their achievement and involvement of the applied scholar research. It aims to
find ways to overcome these obstacles. The researcher tested the validity and
credibility of a questionnaire to monitor the most important obstacles facing
faculty members in the field of applied scholar research in order to classify
these obstacles. Faculty members views were taken via the questionnaire that
has been distributed among the study representative sample. This study has
been conducted within the scholastic year 2010 – 2011 at UCAS. For the
purpose of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was implemented to
answer the research questions, and the SPSS was used for the data analysis.
Besides the recommendations, the results showed that no statistically
significant differences at the level of significance (μ ³ 0.05) responses of
faculty members at UCAS about the obstacles applied research attributed to
gender, variable qualification, or years of serviceDownloads
