Optimizing Students’ Benefit from Virtual Classes at Al-Quds Open University in Palestine

This Action Research aimed at investigating the methods and procedures
that help improve students’ benefits from virtual classes at Al Quds Open
University, by realizing the reality of their use, and to identify the factors that
hinder students from participating in the virtual classes or benefiting from their
recordings, and then to follow procedures to address these factors. This action
research adopted both the quantitative and qualitative methods. The research
was applied in the first and the second semesters of the academic year 2013-
2014. The results of the study indicated the usefulness of the procedures used
to address the obstacles that hinder students from participating in the virtual
classes at the university and increase their effectiveness. Also, the results of
the study showed a significant and considerable improvement in persuading
students with the importance of the virtual classes and their usefulness. In
addition, the results indicated a remarkable increase in the number of the
