Emotional Intelligence and its Relation to the Ambition of Students at Yarmouk University in light of some Variables

The purpose of this study is to investigate the nature of the relationship
between emotional intelligence and aspiration level among Yarmouk university
students .The sample of the study consisted of (1198) male and female
students from Yarmouk University selected purposefully from the students
registered in the university requirements courses .The study administrated two
questionnaires, emotional intelligence scale and aspiration level scale .The
findings of the study showed that there are significant statistical differences
in the level of emotional intelligence and level of aspiration attributed to
gender variable in favor of males .Moreover, there are significant statistical
differences in the level of emotional intelligence and level of aspiration
attributed to college variable in favor of scientific colleges .There were no
significant statistical differences in the level of emotional intelligence and
level of aspiration attributed to the study level .Finally, the findings showed
that there is a correlation relationship between emotional intelligence and
level of aspiration .
