Evaluation of the Linguistic Performance of the Newly Appointed Arabic Language Teachers at Public Schools and Its Relation to their Attitudes towards their Career

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify Arabic language supervisors›

assessment of linguistic performance of Arabic language newly appointed

teachers, and the differences due to sex, field of specialization at secondary

school, the university from where he graduated and the attitudes towards the

teaching profession .

The researchers used the descriptive analytical method, the Observation

Card and Measurement Attitudes .The study sample consists of (57) male and

female .

The conclusions of the study showed that the level of linguistic

performance for the teachers was (70.3%) and there is differences at the

level of linguistic performance due to sex, and in favor of females and the

university the teacher graduate from .

The level of Arabic language teachers attitudes was (75.4%) and showed

that there is no differences due to the sex except in social status, and that

there is no differences due to specialization .There is relationship between

linguistic performance and teachers attitudes towards teaching profession .
