Assessment of the Qualifications and Competencies of the Faculty Staff of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Qassim University, from their Perspective.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the extent possession of teaching

staff in the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies of teaching competencies

in Qassim University from their point of view in light of the academic rank

and experience variables .The study sample consisted of 97 faculty members

chosen randomly from the study’s society (220) faculty member .The

researcher constructed an instrument to measure the degree of their efficiency

and the stability of the sample from outside the study sample .Steadiness is

assured by Cronbach’s tool .

The results showed that the possession of members of

the faculty of the three educational adequacies: planning,

implementation, and evaluation of their perspective varied

.Implementation ranked first, followed by planning and third by

evaluation .The possession of faculty members of educational

adequacy between professors and assistant professors is in favor

of professor, and in between associate professors and assistant

professors is in favor of associate professors .The measurement

is also in favor for those who have more than 10 years of who

experience .

The researcher recommends the establishment of workshops for

faculty members to cope with the latest global developments in effective

university teaching and employment of modern technology to promote

their abilities
