Performance of Student Teachers at Yarmouk University during Conducting Class Activities in light of some Variables

Abstract

 

This study aims to evaluate the performance level of class activities

of student teachers in relation to some variables such as accumulated

average, gender and major. The sample included 60 students of fourth level,

participating in field training (practicum) . An observation instrument was

designed to observe activities Performance of teaching activities inside

classroom. To test the hypotheses, the researcher used percentages, T- Test

and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results were as follows:

1. High level of performance of the student teachers.

2. Low correlation between performance and student’s accumulated

average.

3. No significant statistical differences in performance can be attributed to

gender.

4. Some significant statistical differences in performance level in favor of

student teachers from scientific faculties
