Teaching Competencies of Teachers in Secondary Schools in Jerash, Jordan from Their Point of View

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the degree of teachers’ efficiencies
in the secondary schools in Jerash from their point of view in light of the
variables of (sex, qualification, and years of experience) in the academic
year 2014/ 2015. The study sample consisted of (480) teachers, and used a
questionnaire which included (40) items. The results showed that the average
degree of the efficiencies in teaching and planning ranged between (2.13-
2.99) , but there is a significant difference at the level of (a= 0.05) in the
degree of variables of sex and educational qualifications. There is also a
statistical significance difference due to variable of the years of experience
for the benefit of those who have 10 or more years.
