The Effectiveness of Training Program on Development Preparation and Application of Psychological Tests and the Interpretation of the Results among Psychological and Educational Counselor Students

The aim of this study is to verify the effectiveness of the counseling
program in the development of skills preparation and application of
psychological tests and the measurements and interpretations of results. The
study provides a cognitive test and observation cards for the skills. Semiexperimental
approach, which used an experimental group of psychological
and educational counselor students used one group (pre and post tests) .
Random sample was selected of (24) students of whom (12) males and (12)
females who are expected to graduate during the current academic year.
Cognitive test, observation card of skills and counseling program were used in
the study. The Results found that there are statistically significant differences
at the level (a ≤ 0.01) between the means of ranks of study sample (male and
female) in the two pre and post test of cognitive test and observation card, and
the differences were in favor of post test. The values of coefficient Eta Square
revealed that the integrative counseling program effective in the development
of the cognitive side and the performance skills among the psychological and
educational counselor students.
