Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the effect of an educational program
based on the Communicative Approach on developing speaking skills among
ninth grade students in Zulfi.An educational program and speaking test
were developed and introduced to the curricula and methods of teaching
Arabic, then it was applied on the target sample.The experimental group
was taught according to the educational program, while the control group
was taught using the traditional method.After six week of teaching, the test
was administrated for both groups.The analysis of variance ANOVA showed
significant statistical differences at the level of (a=0.05) , but in all speaking
skills it is in favor of the experimental group.
