Relationship Between Violent Electronic Games and Aggressive Behavior and Social Behavior of Preschool Children

This study aims to explain the relationship between violent electronic
games and aggressive behavior and social behavior in preschool children
from their parents’ perspective.To achieve the objectives of the study, the
researchers prepared a questionnaire including two parts: the aggressive
behavior and the social behavior.The questionnaire was distributed to a
sample of (100) of kindergarten children’s parents in Amman during the
second semester of the academic year 2013/ 2014.The results indicated that
there is a strong relationship between violent electronic games and aggressive
behavior, but not with the social behavior among kindergarten children in
Amman according to the parents’ point of view.The study recommended
educating parents to know the pros and cons of electronic games and educate
and instruct the children about the consequences of violent electronic games
on the children’s behavior.
