Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a

training program based on (TRIZ) theory of inventive
problem solving on developing the decision- making
skill of female tenth graders in Ajloun Governorate,
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher
developed scale of the decision- making skill with
appropriate reliability and validity indices. The
training program based on (TRIZ) theory were
used in the study. The study sample consisted of
(71) tenth Grade female students. The school was
chosen with deliberate method, and two out of five
sections were randomly chosen; one section (35)
students was treated as an experimental group,
and the other (36) students as a control group. The
researcher used training program consisted of (18)
sessions have (90) minutes with experimental group,
and the researcher didn't use any treatment with
control group. The results of the study sowed the
statistically significant effect for training program
based on (TRIZ) theory on developing the decisionmaking
skill of female tenth graders in all domains,
and as a whole of tool, in favor of experimental
group. The results also showed there was high
degree of retention in the decision- making skill,
and it showed there were not statistically significant
differences between post measurement, and followup
test on the experimental group.
