The Level of Awareness Among Social Studies teachers in Jordan towards the Impact of Syrian Asylum on the Social and Educational Life Aspects

This study aims at identifying the level of awareness and perception among social studies teachers at Mafrag public schools in Jordan towards the impact of Syrian asylum on social and educational life aspects and its relation to gender and place of residence variables. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach, and designed a questionnaire of (32) items covering social and educational domains. The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of (116) male and female teachers. The results of the study showed that social studies teachers’ perception on the tool as a whole and on the social and educational field were high. The results also showed differences due to gender in favor of females in the social aspect. Moreover, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences according to the place of residence variable. In light at these results, some recommendations were suggested.
