Abstract

This research aims at identifying the components of self-organized learning used by the students of University of Samarra and the level of academic competence. Moreover, the study identifies the level of university students to possess the wisdom and knowledge as well as changes during the years of study  in addition to the relationship between these variables and the extent to which they vary during the college years.  The study sample consisted of 80 students for four years of study. The study tools are: self-organized learning scale preparation (Purdie) and the academic competence questionnaire prepared by the researcher and the scale of wisdom and knowledge from the list of true happiness and life satisfaction placed by (Seligman & Peterson, 2002).  The research found that the sample has a good level attributed to the studied variables with statistically significant differences at the (0.01) level of significance and in favor of the fourth year in a self-organized learning in wisdom and knowledge. While the difference in favor of the third year in the Scholastic Aptitude. The research found that there was no correlation between the research variables during the four years, except for what emerged from the inverse relationship between the academic competence and wisdom and knowledge for the first year and organized learning and self-wisdom and knowledge for the fourth year. In the light of the results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
