The aim of this study was to identify the family
atmosphere and its relationship to mental health
and the feelings of guilt at Dongola University
students at the faculty of Education. The descriptive
analytical method was used in this study. The
sample of this study comprised (208) male and
female students of (829) in the academic year
(2014- 2015) , chosen by the stratified random. To
achieve this goal, the researcher use measurements

of guilt scale. The main results of this study are:
The study sample individuals have a high level
of Family atmosphere and mental health; also,
there was a high level of feelings guilt. There is
a significant statistical relationship between the
family atmosphere and mental health on one hand
and between mental health and feelings of guilt on
the other hand. The family atmosphere predictor of
mental health. Finally, in light of the study results
and discussion, the researcher suggested some
recommendations.
