Abstract

The study aimed to recognize or disclose the
role of educational supervision and its contribution
to the professional development for the math
teachers in the high primary stage. The study
depends on the point view of math teachers in the
two governorates, “Tulkarim and Salfeet”. The
study aims to recognize the effect of variables:
(governorate, sex, years of experience, and the
number of training courses during the years
service) which depend on the averages or means of
math teachers responds or answers towards roles of
educational supervisors in the contribution of their
professional development. The two researchers use
a questioner as a tool or device for the study which
contains 43 items using Likert fivefold Scale. The
study has been verified through a tool of honesty
and stability, the factor of reliability has reached
the average of 0. 86, the study sample contained or
consisted of 107 of math male and female teacher in
the schools of the two governorates: “Tulkarim and
Salfeet”. The study took place during the second
semester/ academic year: 2014 – 2015. through the
analysis of data which has been collected using the
descriptive method and Statistical Package of Social
Science (SPSS) , the results of the study showed that
the averages or means of math teachers responds or
answers towards roles of educational supervision in
the contribution of their professional development
considered as a medium result. The results of the
study showed that there is no significant statistical
differences in the averages or means of teacher
responds towards the role of educational supervisors
in the contribution of the professional development
for the math teachers in the high primary stage in
Palestine from the view point of teachers according
to the variables of: (governorate, sex, years of
experience, and the number of training courses
during the years service) ,while the study depends
on a set of statistical significant differences, which
depend on variable of sex in favor of female teachers.
In addition to another variable which depends on
the place of the school for the benefit of schools
in the city. In the light of the results of the study,
the researchers have advised or recommended a
number of recommendations.
