Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the degree of possessing technical skills by school principals in al - Dahra Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the study objective, a questionnaire consisting of 34 items was distributed over four main dimensions and applied on 82 school principals after testing its validity and reliability. One of the major findings of the study is that the the degree of possessing technical skills by school principals in al - Dahra Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman were medium. In addition, there were significant statistical differences at the level a = 0. 05 among the evaluation of school principals in favor to gender, years of experience, and qualification. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended focusing on the technical skills that occupied the highest priorities when designing training programs for school principals and meeting the needs revealed by the study.
