The Role of Using Evolutionary and Educational Supervision in Improving Practices of Teachers in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate from the Teachers Point of View

The study aimed to explore the role of evolutionary and educational supervision in improving the teaching practices of teachers in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, and to find out whether there were differences in the respondents’ responses due to gender, experience and specialization variables. The study sample consisted of 124 teachers who form 50% of the study population. The researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of 34 paragraphs on three areas: planning, teaching methods and evaluation. In order to answer the question of the study and its hypotheses; the researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The results of the study showed that the evolutionary educational supervision has a great role in improving teaching practices of the teachers in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. The results of the study also showed statistically significant differences for the gender variable in favor of males in regard to planning and evaluation practices. The study showed no differences regarding the experience variables and the specialization variable. The study recommended holding training courses on preparing teaching plans, and plans in the light of the results of the evaluation, as well as the need to link education to the students’ school environment.
