The Effectiveness of a Training Program, Based on a Psychodrama, in Reducing Depression Symptoms among a Sample of Unemployed Individuals in the City Irbid, Jordan

The study aimed at investigating the effect of a training program based on a psychodrama in reducing depression symptoms in the city of Irbid, The study sample consisted of (36) unemployed individuals from both genders who were assigned randomly into two groups: an experimental group that consisted of 18 individuals , and a control group that consisted of 18 individuals. The results of the study showed that the experimental group’s level of depression symptoms was decreased and was statistically significant compared with the control group in both the post - test and the follow up - test. This confirms the stability of the therapeutic efficacy of the training program in reducing depressive symptoms. Moreover, the results showed that females had better results than males in the treatment group.
