Abstract

The current study aimed at investigating the effect of an Instructional

program on developing second grade secondary students use

for the cohesive tools in the writing. To achieve the aim of the study,

the researcher designed an instructional program, and a test which

consisted of 9 various and different items .

The sample of the study consisted of 50 students from Kharja secondary

school for boys in Bani kanana directorate of education for the

academic year 2012- 2013. They were chosen purposefully: 25 of them

represented the experimental group and the other 25 represented the

control group.

The result of the study revealed that there were statistically significant

differences in the test in using the cohesive tools in the writing

due to the way of teaching and in favor of the experimental group (Instructional

program).
