The Role of Kindergarten in Developing Children's Life Skills from the Teachers' Point of View

Objectives: This study aims to identify the role of both government and private kindergarten teachers in developing children's life skills, recognizing that kindergarten is often the child's first formal educational experience, it plays a crucial role in laying the foundation not only for academic success but also for the development of essential life skills.
Methodology: The study utilizes the descriptive-analytical approach, on a simple random sample, consisting of 234 teachers from both government and private kindergartens in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
Results: The results show that the average of the role of kindergarten teachers in developing life skills for children is 4.50, and a high level. The health skills domain ranked first, while the emotion regulation skills domain ranked last. The results also indicates that there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the role of kindergarten teachers in developing life skills for children, due to: academic qualification and the number of years of teaching experience.
Conclusion: The study recommends providing intensive training programs for kindergarten teachers on how to teach life skills to children, and conducting longitudinal studies to follow up on the impact of life skills development programs on children.
