Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to identify the level of mentoring skills and the level of professional competence, and to reveal the nature of the relationship between mentoring skills and professional competence of the Ministry of Social Development's mentors.

Methodology: The study was based on the descriptive correlative curriculum of all 246 West Bank Ministry of Social Development guides and guides according to Ministry of Social Development statistics for the year 2023/2024. To achieve the study's objectives, a sample of 154 guides was selected from Ministry of Social Development guides during 2023/2024, selected in a simple random manner.

Results: The results showes that the mentoring skills of the Ministry of Social Development's mentors as a whole were at a high level of professional competence of the Ministry of Social Development guides as a whole has come at a high level. The value of the Pearson coefficient between the mentoring skills and professional competence of the Ministry of Social Development's mentors is 0.759 and indicative 0.000. This value indicates a high and statistically significant relationship at the indicative level of 0.01≥α, and also indicates that the values of interdimensional coefficients in each of the variables were high and statistically significant, meaning a statistically significant correlation at the indicator level at 0.01≥α between the study's variables.

Conclusion: The study recommendes work to intensify courses and workshops that would increase the guide's efficiency.
