The Role of the Repeated Reading Strategy in Developing Reading Fluency Among 2nd Grade Students from the Perspective of Teachers at Schools in Central Hebron

Objectives: The study aimes to know the role of the repeated reading strategy in developing reading fluency among second grade students from the point of view of teachers in education in the city center of Hebron.
Methodology: To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher followes the qualitative descriptive approach using interviews. The study population consistes of 145 male and female teachers, and 30 male and female teachers were interviewed randomly.
Results: The results of the study showes that the reality of using the repeated reading strategy in developing reading fluency among second grade students from the teachers’ point of view was 83%, through the teacher reading the lesson expressively.
The results showes that the feasibility of using the repeated reading strategy in developing reading fluency among second grade students was 73%, by enabling female students to be able to read correctly.
The results of the study showed that the most important obstacles that prevent teachers from employing the repeated reading strategy in developing reading fluency among second-grade students are the short class time and the length of the curriculum that the teacher will cover in the class, and this was at a rate of 80%.
Conclusion: One of the researcher’s most important recommendations is that teachers use the repeated reading strategy in teaching the second grade due to its effective suitability for this stage, because repetition develops many of the student’s educational skills.
