The Counselling Alliance and its Relationship to Reasons for Withdrawal from Counselling Among Adult Counselors in Mental Health Centers

Objectives: The study aimed to Explore the relationship between the counseling alliance, and withdrawal from psychological counseling among adult counselors in mental health centers.
Methodology: The researchers followed the descriptive, correlational methodology, The study's measures were applied to a purposive available sample, which included 117 male and female adult counselors from mental health centers in Palestine.
Results: The results indicated that the levels of the counseling alliance, and withdrawal from psychological counseling were average. In addition, the results showed a statistically significant negative correlation between the counseling alliance and withdrawal from psychological counseling among adult clients in mental health centers, indicating that as the level of the counseling alliance increased, the level of withdrawal from psychological counseling decreased.
Conclusion: Among the recommendations is the necessity of sharing the study results with mental health centers to work on developing psychological specialists and reducing the rates of withdrawal from psychological counseling.
