Abstract

Abstract: The current study aimed to explore the perceptions of kindergarten teachers regarding the impact of digital technology on the behavior of preschool children in the Palestinian context.

Methodology: Employing a qualitative methodology with a personal experience design. Six experienced kindergarten teachers participated, chosen purposefully for their expertise in preschool education. The study utilized both in-depth and semi-structured interviews to gather data that couldn't be accessed through other means.

Results:The results concluded that there are numerous negative effects on preschool children as a result of using digital technology. However, its use also has some positive impacts in the field of education. The teachers' perceptions were formed around five main themes: the impact of digital technology on children's social interaction, the positive and negative effects of digital technology on children's behavior, and how digital technology can be used to promote positive behavior.

Conclusion: The study recommended further investigation into the challenges of using digital technology at this age and its impact on the development of children's skills and behaviors.
