This study aimed to identify the problems that faced the educational
counselors in governmental schools in the governorate of Bethlehem. For this
purpose, a five- dimension- questionnaire was designed: The first dimension
was about the problems related to the school manger, the second was related
to the student, the third was about the local community, and the fourth was
related to the teachers while the fifth dimension was about the academic
supervisors. The population of the study consisted of 44 supervisors and the
five- level scale in the questionnaire was followed in the analysis. The results
of the study revealed a number of problems such as those related to the third
dimension (i. e. the community) , namely: weakness of the Palestinian media
to follow the important role of the supervisor , in the fourth dimension (i. e.
the teacher) , namely: he avoids taking into account the students› feelings,
and he diminishes the importance of the students› interests and abilities in
the classroom, and in the fifth dimension (i. e. supervisor) , which is one
of the most researchable problems namely: lack of budget specified for the
activities of the educational supervisor at school, and lack of knowledge
of how to conduct scientific research, and the supervisor being busy with
profiles and records. It has also been shown that there are differences in the
averages of the total score of the problems faced by supervisors in their work
in Bethlehem due to the variable of sociologyDownloads
