Competencies Acquired in the Practical Education Course at Al- Quds Open University from the Perspective of Students

The study aimed to identify students’ views regarding the degree of
competencies acquired in the Practical Education course at Al- Quds Open
University after the end of the practical training at the cooperative schools,
in the light of the variables of sex, specialization, and university cumulative
average.
The study sample consisted of the students of the Practical Education
course in Ramallah & Al bireh Branch in the first semester of the academic
year 2011/ 2012.The study sample consisted of (220) students.For the
evaluational purposes the student teacher form approved by Al- Quds Open
University education faculty was used.(204) questionnaires were distributed.
After a statistical analysis, the following results were obtained:
♦♦ Estimates of degree of competencies acquired by the practical education
course were high in all fields of study.
♦♦ No statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05)
in the degree of competencies acquired after the end of practical training
due to the variables of the study (gender, specialization, undergraduate
