Skills of Electronic Teaching Practiced by Faculty Members of Al- Quds Open University in the State of Palestine

The aim of this study is to measure the degree of practicing the skills of
electronic teaching by the faculty members of Al- Quds Open University. For
this purpose, a questionnaire was designed comprising three domains: use of
computer, use of internet and the skill of managing sessions of virtual classes.
The study was conducted on all subjects of the population consisting of (47)
faculty members. The questionnaire adopted and distributed was of a fivedegree
scale. The results revealed that there were differences in the means of
the overall degree of practicing the skills of electronic teaching by the faculty
members of Al- Quds Open University attributed to the variables of gender in
favor of females with a mean of (4.01) , college in favor of Administration and
Economic Sciences with a mean of (4.22) experience, years of experience in
favor of less than (3) years with a mean of (4. 05) , academic qualification in
favor of holders of M. A. degrees with a mean of (4.05) and status of faculty
member in favor of full- timers with a mean of (4.04) .
The study recommended emphasizing the development of the faculty
members’ skills of electronic teaching and providing all the required needs to
ensure more interaction in electronic teaching between students and faculty
members.
