The Role of Virtual Learning in reducing the Crisis of the Expenditure on Higher Education and the Demand for it in Syria

Nowadays the world is facing a real crisis which is the need for the
expansion in education horizontally and vertically، at a time when the higher
education sector in the world is suffering from a funding crisis. This crisis was
explained in one of the studies submitted to the UNESCO World Conference
on Higher Education، which stated that financial pressures and financial
were crisis the most distinguishing feature of higher education during the
1990s، and this crisis existed in higher education in the whole world.
Syria was also influenced by this crisis، This was clearly seen in the
National Human Development Report for 2005 on education and in the Tenth
Five Year Plan 2006 - 2010 for higher education، In this research, we will
study particularity of this problem in the Syrian Arab Republic، through the
study of the most important justifications and rationale for the development
of virtual learning، and its role in reducing the crisis of expenditure on higher
education and the demand for it، and then study the most vital areas for its
application
