The Impact of Using Moodle - to Teach English Course - on the Achievement of 3rd Intermediate Female Students in Riyadh

This research aimed to identify the impact
of using Moodle to teach English course on the
achievement of 3rd intermediate female students
in Riyadh. The quasi - experimental approach was
used to achieve the objectives of the research. An
electronic unit (Stories) has been designed on
Moodle, in addition to an achievement test about the
unit. The achievement test was applied on a sample
of (78) students divided into two equal groups
randomly, one of them was the control group who
studied by the traditional way and the other was the
experimental group who studied by the traditional
way and electronic way (blended learning) ,and
that was in (6) sessions. This research found the
following result: There are differences of statistical
significance at the level of significance (0.05) in
academic achievement between the control group,
and the experimental group, for the experimental
group. Based on the result, we can recommend that
Moodle should be integrated into the curriculum,
and teachers and students should be trained to
use it.
