Abstract

This research aimed to identify the impact

of using Moodle to teach English course on the

achievement of 3rd intermediate female students

in Riyadh. The quasi - experimental approach was

used to achieve the objectives of the research. An

electronic unit (Stories) has been designed on

Moodle, in addition to an achievement test about the

unit. The achievement test was applied on a sample

of (78) students divided into two equal groups

randomly, one of them was the control group who

studied by the traditional way and the other was the

experimental group who studied by the traditional

way and electronic way (blended learning) ,and

that was in (6) sessions. This research found the

following result: There are differences of statistical

significance at the level of significance (0.05) in

academic achievement between the control group,

and the experimental group, for the experimental

group. Based on the result, we can recommend that

Moodle should be integrated into the curriculum,

and teachers and students should be trained to

use it.
