The degree of teachers' participation in decision making in Salfeet governorate schools from their viewpoint

This study aimed at investigating the degree of teachers' participation in decision making in Salfeet governorate schools from their viewpoint. To collect the necessary data, the researcher prepared a questionnaire which was valid and constant with coefficient 80%,and distributed to the study sample which was 200teachers formed 20% of the study population. To test the study hypothesis, the researcher used the analytical descriptive methodology and statistical package for social sciences (SPSS), including arithmetic mediations, standard deviations, (t)test and ANOVA, and the study revealed:
1- The degree of teachers’ participation in decision making in Salfeet governorate schools from their viewpoint was high for the first four dimensions and moderate for the fifth dimension and for the total degree of all dimensions.
2- There was no significant differences in the teachers' responds toward the degree of their participation in decision making in Salfeet governorate schools at statistical level (α≤0.05) attributed to the variables (Sex, Age, Period of Service, Place of work except on the third dimension for the favor of western villages of Salfeet governorate schools.
3- There was significant differences in the teachers' responds toward the degree of their participation in decision making in Salfeet governorate schools at statistical level (α≤0.05) attributed to the variable scholastic stage on the first fourth dimensions for secondary stage favor, and there was no differences on the fifth dimension. In the light of study results, the researcher suggest several recommendation, here the important ones:
1- Encourage principals of schools to apply modern scientific methods in decision-making, and raise their participation in it.
2- Erase all the obstacles which impedes principals from participate teachers in decision-making process.
3- Urge for further studies on the schools of other governorates.
