The Degree to which teachers apply the training courses of the school – based teacher professional development program (SBTD) in the Governorates of Gaza

This study aimed to identify the degree of implementation the training courses of (SBTD), by UNRWA Elementary Teachers and their relation with some variables. The two researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach. They developed the tool of the study (questionnaire) which included six domains that cover (50) paragraphs, The population of the study consisted of (88 male teachers& 107 female teachers) in the UNRWA schools in the in Gaza governorates, the researchers used (SPSS) program to do the necessary research statistical analyses.
The Findings:
- UNRWA Elementary Teachers adhered to the training program of (SBTD) highly reached the degree of (84. 866%) which is (very large). In the six domains it reached (82.756%), and (85.561%).
- There are no significant differences related to sex in domains 1- 2 – 3 –5-6 whereas differences appeared in domain 4 for favor of male pupils.
- There are no significant differences related to years of experience in domains 2-3-4-5-6 whereas differences appeared for favor of those who have (5-10) service years.
Recommendations:
The importance of improving and developing the activities of (SBTD) in Gaza school, activating this training course in the in- service program according to the beneficiaries needs, to following up the implementation of activities of this training program by education specialists and school principals.
