Abstract

This study aims to answer the following questions: Do primary pupils who attended school at an early age suffer from reading difficulties? And whether there are statistically significant differences in reading difficulties due to the variable of sex. Therefore, the researcher chooses the intentional sample of 181 preschool pupils (male and female) who attended school at an early age. A questionnaire was implemented after checking its validity and reliability. After analyzing data using the program SPSS (version20), the study revealed the following results: 
- Primary pupils who attended school at an early age suffer from academic reading difficulties especially in the following aspects: Slow reading, not to read full words, fatigue when reading, not to follow the words in the lines, and delete the words.
- There is a statistically significant difference between primary pupils who attended school at an early age in academic reading difficulties in favor of males
