The Applicability of the Servant Leadership by the Principals of Jordanian Discovery Schools in the Governorate of the Capital from the Teachers’ Perspective, and its Relation to the Teachers’ Motivation toward Work

This study aims to identify the level of the applicability of the servant leadership by the principals of Jordanian discovery schools in the governorate of the capital from the teachers’ perspective, and its relation to the teachers’ motivation toward work. A random sample was selected consisting of male and female teachers, working at the discovery schools in the capital city of Amman (300 teachers), which is equivalent to 10% of the study population. The teachers answered a questionnaire designed for the study. Moreover, to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was implemented.
The results of the study shows that the level of the applicability of the servant leadership by the principals of Jordanian discovery schools in the capital governorate from the point of view of the teachers is high. Furthermore, the degree of motivation among the teachers was also high. The results also reveals in respect the applicability of the servant leadership by the principals of Jordanian discovery schools in the capital governorate from the point of view of the teachers the absence of a statistical indication to the impact of the qualification of the teachers. Unlike the variable of gender where the statistical indication is in favor of the male teachers, and regarding school stages is in favor of the male and female teachers of the secondary schools. In respect of the teaching experience the results is in favor of the group of less experienced teachers.
The results reveals also a positive correlative relationship of a statistical significance between the applicability of the servant leadership among the school principals and the motivation of male and female teachers
