Abstract

This study aims at investigating the degree of employing social networks in teaching by 11th grade teachers from the teachers’ perspective, and ways to reinforce it in the schools of west Gaza governorate . The researchers followed the analytical descriptive approach. The sample  consisted of 166 eleventh grade female and male teachers who work in west Gaza governorate schools. The tool used for the study is a questionnaire for teachers and its validity and reliability were  checked. The results indicates that the degree of use of social networks by 11th grade teachers is medium. In addition, the study indicates that there are significant statistical differences between the mean scores of gender variable in favor of female teachers, and there are no significant statistical differences between the mean scores of major, qualifications, and experience. Therefore, the study recommends working on providing schools with  equipment, computer labs, and internet to employ social networks in the teaching – learning process.
