Academic Procrastination and Its Relationship with Self - Concept among Hebron University Students

Abstract

The study aimed at revealing the prevalence level of the academic procrastination and the level of self - concept among Hebron University students. In addition, the study sought to identify the relationship between self - concept and academic procrastination among the study sample.  The population of the study consisted of 8720 male and female students. The study sample consisted of 600 male and female students.  To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used two scales, a self - concept scale developed by Aljundi & Talahmeh (2018) and academic procrastination scale developed by al - Momani, F. al - Rabadi, W. and Freihat, A. (2017) , after checking their reliability and validity.  The results of the study showed that there was a moderate level of prevalence of academic procrastination, and a moderate level of self - concept among the sample.  Finally, the results showed a statistically significant relationship between self - concept and academic procrastination among the sample of the study.
