The study aimed at investigating the reality and level of the pedagogical knowledge among teachers of mathematics of the ninth grade related to the analysis of algebraic expressions, in addition to classifying the level of knowledge into excellent, good, and requires reinforcement. The sample of the study consisted of seven teachers. The tool of the study was a form for attending the class (note card) , in order to explore the pedagogical knowledge among the teachers regarding the analysis of algebraic expressions. The researchers have also used an open exam to explore the pedagogical knowledge that should be mastered by the teachers.
The research revealed a general low level of knowledge among teachers. The results have also shown a general weakness in the performance inside the classroom among the teachers. The knowledge of the teachers was classified into two categories: Six teachers needed reinforcement and one teacher had a good level of knowledge.
The study recommended concentrating more on training math’s teachers scientifically and pedagogically while majoring at the university. In addition, the study stressed on the importance of developing the teachers’ performance while in the classroom.
