Assessment of the New Geography Studies Textbook Intended for the Twelfth Grade (Humanities Track) in Gaza Governorates from the Teachers’ Perspectives in Light of the Quality Standards

This study sought to assess the new Geography Studies Textbook intended for the Twelfth grade (Humanities track) in Gaza governorates from the teachers’ perspectives in light of the quality standards. The study used the descriptive analytical method through developing a questionnaire that consisted of 50 items distributed under five domains: The objectives, content, educational means and activities, assessment activities in the textbook and the technical aspects of the book.
The questionnaire was distributed, after verifying its validity and stability, on a sample, which consisted of 100 teachers. The study analyzed the percentages, correlation coefficient, arithmetical means and standard deviations. The result of the study showed that the value of the evaluation of Geography Studies Textbook, considering its variable standards, was very high 89. 2 %.
There were no statistically significant differences in the answers of the sample due to gender and years of service at 0.05.
