The Role of Basic Schools’ Principals in Learning Quality Assurance in Salfeet Governorate from Teachers’ Point of View

This study aimed at investigating the role of primary schools principals in achieving quality assurance in Salfeet Governorate. It also aimed to explore whether there are statistical differences in the teachers’ responses towards the role of primary schools principals in realizing education quality in Salfeet Governorate due to the variables of sex, age, experience, and specialization.
To achieve the objectives of the study, and check the validity of its hypothesis, the researcher used the questionnaire which was verified and validated, to collect the needed data from the study sample which comprised 79 male/ female teachers. The examined study sample comprised 20% from the original population. The data was analyzed using the descriptive approach and statistical methodology.
The study sample showed the following:
1- The school principals play a significant role in realizing quality education in the basic schools in Salfeet Governorate.
2- There are no statistical differences at a≤0.05 in teachers responses towards the role of the principals’ of basic schools in realizing quality education in Salfeet governorate attributed to the variables of age, specialization and experience.
3- There are statistical differences at a≤0.05 in teachers responses towards the role of the principals’ of basic schools in realizing quality education in Salfeet governorate due to the variables of sex for female favor.
In light of study results, the researcher recommends that:
1- The principals should be selected according to professional supervisory and managerial competency in order to realize quality of teaching.
2- Enhance and expand the supervisory role of the principals of schools to raise the quality of teaching.
3- Continue organizing rehabilitation courses for teachers and principals in order to assure their efficiency and role in realizing teaching quality.
4- Urge for further studies.
