The data was analyzed by using means, standard deviations, correlation coefficients, t-test and multiple variance analysis (MANOVA). Results indicated that there were statistical significant differences at the level ( .05 ≥ α) among children with autism spectrum disorder and their peers with intellectual disabilities in all dimensions of the receptive language scale and the expressive language scale. The differences were in favor of children with autism spectrum disorder. The study recommends providing language services according to the type and severity of the disability.
